| North Atlantic from the coast of England and Norway south to the Azores, the Mediterranean and Black Seas. Occurs in the coastal zone to a depth of 10-15 m, on sandy soils and among algae. Lenth up to 20mm. It is rare in the Black Sea. It was recorded in the Sevastopol Bay (Dolgopolskaya, 1948), at Cape Tarkhankut, in the Odessa Bay, near the Kerch Strait (Makarov, 2004), off the coast of Bulgaria and Romania (Băcescu, 1949), as well as near Turkey (Balkis et al, 2012). | ||||

| Description: | Рострум прямо обрублен у конца, с глубоким желобком посредине и слегка приподнятыми боковыми краями. Орбитальный край с небольшим шипом, от которого назад отходит слегка дугообразно изогнутая линия с небольшим бугорком, расположенным почти на уровне среднего шипа панциря. Глаза сидят на коротких толстых стебельках. Стебель антеннул с пластинчатым, закругленным спереди, стилоцеритом. Скафоцерит с маленьким наружным шипом, расположенным ниже пластинчатой части. Абдомен гладкий, тельсон короче уроподов, с продольным желобком сверху. Длина до 20 мм. | |||
