| The native areal of Japanese shrimp is China, Korea, Vietnam, Myanmar and Taiwan. This shrimp has also been introduced into the water bodies of Singapore, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Iraq (De Grave and Ghane 2006), as well as into the water bodies of Laos and Malaysia (Hanamura et al., 2011). The species is capable of tolerating a wide range of temperature and salinity fluctuations. Therefore, it was also introduced to the cooling waters of thermal power plants on the territory of the Russian Federation. | ||||
