The larvae of this shrimp can be found in water with low salinity. Development is influenced by the temperature and salinity of the water. At a salinity of 5 ‰, the larvae can live for several days. Normal development takes place at higher salinity. (Vázqueza et al, 2015). After 5, 6, and sometimes 7 stages, the larva passes into the post-larval (juvenile) stage.
