| For the first time the difference between similar shrimps P. ivanovi and P. hypsinotus was noticed during the survey in the east of Sakhalin Island (Komai & Eletskaya, 2008). There is no reason to believe that nobody not seen this species before, but apparently it was taken for similar specie Humpback shrimp (P. hypsinotus). P. ivanovi has been found only in the northern part of the Sea of Okhotsk so far: in the east of Sakhalin at depths of 90-200 m (Komai & Eletskaya, 2008); in the northeast of Sakhalin, in the Sakhalin Bay, in the Ayano-Shantar area, in the Iona Bank area and in the Pritauisky area. At depths 40-225 m. Presumably it was found in the west of Kamchatka and in the Shelikhov Bay also. The boundaries of the range require clarification. | ||||
