| According to literature data, P. ampla lives in the Eastern Pacific from California (San Diego) to Tierra del Fuego and in the Southwest Atlantic (off the coast of Argentina and Uruguay at depths of 480-2200 m (Hendrickx, Wicksten, 1989) (Burukovskiy, 2009) However, confirmed finds are available only in the Southwest Atlantic from Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, the Strait of Magellan region and the Falklands (Malvinas) Islands region (Burukovsky, 2009; WoRMS, 2017) | ||||
