Infraorder CARIDEA // Family Pandalidae // Genus Pandalus
  Pandalus dispar (Rathbun, 1902)
Synonym: Pandalopsis dispar Rathbun, 1902
Occurs from the Pribylov Islands to the Oregon coast. In 1999, the species was found west of Cape Navarin (Ivanov & Sokolov, 2001). Until the 1960s, P. dispar was not recorded in the western part of the Bering Sea (Makarov, 1941; Vinogradov, 1950; Birshtein and Vinogradov, 1953; Zarenkov, 1960). The appearance of this species in the western part of the Bering Sea can be explained by the expansion of its range due to changes in climatic conditions in the sixties and seventies. (Slizkin, 2006).
