| The areal of this species is wide, but it is highly fragmented. It is noted in the European part of Turkey; in the north of Greece (Thrace, Macedonia); In Bulgaria; Romania. It is found in the mountain rivers of the Balkans, Crimea and the Caucasus. The species is practically on the side. Easily passes from river to river by land. Can be found in the forest far from water. It lives in small rivers and streams, both in water and along the banks. In river estuaries, it sometimes occurs together with the supralittoral crab - Pachygrapsus marmoratus (Kobyakova, Dolgopolskaya, 1969). | ||||
